International Judicial Remedies for the Ukraine and Russia’s Armed Conflict

Professor Emanuele Cimiotta | Sapienza Università di Roma

On May 27th 2022, the FGV Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on EU-South America Global Governance, in partnership with the Field Projects "The Normative Legitimacy of the WHO in Brazil" and "Global Security and International Practice," organised an insightful lecture delivered by Professor Emanuele Cimiotta from Sapienza Università di Roma. The lecture delved into the topic of "International Judicial Remedies for/concerning the Ukraine and Russia's armed conflict."

Throughout the presentation, Professor Cimiotta provided a comprehensive analysis of international judicial remedies concerning the ongoing armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia. Attendees had the opportunity to gain insights into the legal mechanisms available to address the complex issues arising from the conflict, with a particular focus on international judicial avenues.

The lecture aimed primarily at students enrolled in the EU-South American School on Global Governance. However, a limited number of seats were also made available for the general public to participate in the event. To ensure accessibility, the lecture was transmitted live via the Zoom platform, allowing a wider audience to engage with the topic.
