Visiting professor at the European Private Law Summer School at the Faculty of Law of the University of Salzburg (since 2017). Visiting professor at the International Studies Programme of the Master’s Degree in International and European Law at the Porto School of Law of Universidade Católica (since 2023). Director of Studies of the French-speaking section in the 6th edition of the Winter Courses on International Law, organized by the Hague Academy of International Law (2024).
Prof. Dr. Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida's primary fields of research include:
Her current research examines the interaction between international law, global governance, and sustainability, with a particular focus on Global South perspectives. She is currently investigating Latin American state narratives in advisory proceedings before the ICJ. She also leads a research project funded by the Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS) monitoring the implementation and impacts of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) in Brazil. In addition, her work explores the procedural and substantive dimensions of the trade and sustainable development chapter of the EU–Mercosur Agreement.
