Federal University of Minas Gerais

Yesterday, April 3rd, Professor Lucas Carlos Lima (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais) delivered a lecture as an invited professor at the Rio Course on Regional and International Dispute Settlement (Rio CRIDS), an activity organized by the FGV Centre of Excellence on EU-Latin America Global Challenges, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Professor Lucas’ lecture focused on “The Role of Experts in International Litigation” and explored discussions on the use of expert opinions in contentious cases before international courts. He provided valuable insights into the technical complexities and opportunities for handling evidence before the Court.

Following the lecture, students actively engaged in debates and discussed the concepts presented in class.

We would like to thank Professor Lucas for sharing his time and expertise with us and we look forward to strengthening our collaboration.
