The Centre for Global Law

The FGV Centre for Global Law (CPDG) represents a focal point of competence and knowledge on Global Law and Governance in Brazil and Latin America. Through collaboration and the exchange of knowledge with leading scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and institutions worldwide, the Centre promotes innovative research and contributes to addressing contemporary global legal challenges.
CPDG aims to develop multidisciplinary research projects based on mixed qualitative and quantitative methodologies, while providing a platform for academic cooperation, intellectual exchange, and dialogue between academia, public institutions, the private sector, and civil society.
Our activities are organized around three core dimensions: Research, Teaching, and International Engagement. Through these dimensions, CPDG fosters academic excellence, strengthens international cooperation, and promotes the dissemination of knowledge through research, education, and policy-oriented initiatives.
