On October 2nd 2024, the FGV Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, in partnership with the FGV Centre for Global Law, welcomed Professor Pål Wrange, Professor of Professor of International Law and Directorof the Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice.

At the event, Professor Pål Wrange delivered a comprehensive lecture on "Cybersecurity and International Law – an EU Perspective." In Professor Wrange's class, significant focus was placed on cybersecurity governance and its relationship with important concepts of international law such as sovereignty and use of force.

The lecture was divided into two segments: the first focused on understanding the concepts and basic terminology regarding the internet, cyberspace, and sovereignty in relation to the internet, while the second addressed the bases for jurisdiction, cyber crimes and the exercise of sovereign powers.
