Professor Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida, Director of the Centre for Global Law (CPDG) and of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on EU–Latin America Global Challenges (CEJM), co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, delivered a lecture at the 26th edition of the Summer School on Global Comparative Private Law, held in Salzburg, Austria, from 30 June to 11 July 2025 and organized by the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg.

The two-week programme covers foundational and advanced concepts from approximately 30 different legal systems and brings together more than 50 professors from diverse jurisdictions and legal traditions. It aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of global comparative private law in an increasingly interconnected legal environment.

Within this framework, Professor Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida delivered a lecture on “Private International Law in Brazil”, addressing key issues related to the Brazilian approach to private international law and its practical application. She also participated in workshops involving comparative case analysis, contributing to the broader discussion on cross-jurisdictional legal reasoning and methodological approaches in private law.
