About the event
From 1 to 13 July 2026, Professor Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida, Director of the FGV Centre for Global Law (CPDG) and the FGV Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on EU–Latin America Global Challenges, co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme, participated as a guest lecturer in the 27th Summer School on Global Comparative Private Law, held in Salzburg, Austria, and organized by the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg.
Professor Almeida delivered a lecture entitled “The Application of International and Regional Private Law Sources in Brazilian Law”, focusing on the incorporation and implementation of international and regional legal instruments within the Brazilian domestic legal order. She also contributed to practical workshops on comparative private law cases, engaging with participants from diverse jurisdictions.
The Summer School brought together international faculty and students to examine comparative legal systems through an interdisciplinary approach, combining academic instruction with cultural activities in Salzburg’s historic center, fostering dialogue on global private law developments and cross-jurisdictional legal integration.
